Access 2007 calculating . . . for a long time

Hi, just opened my access application made in access 2003 in my new
access 2007. One issue is that calculating fields takes a very long
time compared to access 2003. In the status bar to the left there is
"Calculating . . ." for a long time (>10 seconds) Anyone else seen
this?
