To use Access 2007, you have to install the software, enter a valid
license key (which you have to pay for) and "activate" it, usually over
the Internet - this last step validates your license and prevents copying.

From the sound of it, you haven't bought a license. Could this be an
expired trial? You haven't helped us much with background information.

It came in a package with office ultimate 2007 and every other program works
fine, just whenever i try to open Access it comes up with this error every
time. i'm running the Windows Vista Utimate OS.

If you really have Office Ultimate 2007 (expensive!) then you should
have Access included. My guess, nevertheless, is that you may have a
lower-level package which only includes a trial license for Access. See
this:

office.microsoft.com/en-gb/products/FX101635841033.aspx?pid=CL100796341033

... to see the standard packages.

You were probably supplied with re-installation disks for Office - what
do they say?

Otherwise, all I could suggest is to try the "detect and repair" option:

detect-and-repair-applications-in-microsoft-office-2007/

... or reinstall.

Otherwise, out of ideas, I'm afraid.
