Hi all,
I have read several posts on this issue, but no one has replied with an
acceptable work around. i have an Access 2007 database that requires a
compact and repair (due to importing txt files) to be run on close. When I
attempt to compact and repair the DB on the network, the DB size remains the
same. When i move the DB to my desktop and re-try the C&R, the DB size is
reduced. I understand that I must have 'Full Control' access for folder on
the network where the DB is located in order to C&R, but i do not want to
grant the future user of this DB 'Full Control' to the network folder. How
can I get around this? Is there any access settings that i can change to
allow a C&R by a user withough 'Full Control' access?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
