Access 2007 continually calculating even tho' records are showing

I have a database with a main form showing 3000 records, and when Im
open the form, although all records are listed/shown or totalled in the
bottom/footer of the form, but on the very bottom of the form to the
left it switches between 'calculating' and 'form view'.
Why does access 2007 do that, what is it calculating?

Typically, it is calculating expressions, either in the form or in the
underlying recordsource.
