Access 2007 Deletes Database! - Compressing, Error MDB Read only

Cause appears to be related to lost access to network drive or laptop going
into sleep mode? (maybe)

I can't find any Microsoft references to issue

Message begins: Microsoft Access can't delete c:\MyFolder\Myfilename after
compacting it. The compacted database has been renames......

Search terms used:
The file is gone, not in recycle bin, disappear, erase, delete, compact,
compressed bug issue problem read only remove

-Evidently only applies to accdb files?
- found by searching on "Access can't delete" (I usually have pretty good
luck searching on phrases near the beginning of the specific error message)
