Access 2007 Developer???

A

Armando Vargas

Hello:

Iam a bit confused about the sofware needed to deploy the Ms Access ADP
application as it used to be in Ms Office XP Developer.

Does anyone knows the software needed to deploy Ms Access 2007 ADPs with SQL
Server?

Also, I have red that the MSDE2000 wont work in Windos Vista, and that the
Visual Studio Tool for Office SE is needed, but when you go to the Portal,
it does not makes any reference to Ms Access
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/office/aa905533.aspx

I also found this: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/office/bb229700.aspx
that indicates that the Access Runtime 2007 will be free, but it seems that
it has not been released yet. am I right? But Also they are mensioning the
Visual Studio tool for Office SE as something that is needed.

Im very confused, I would appreciate your help and comments.

If anyone is allready deploying ADPs + MS SQL 2000 or MS SQL Express 2005,
please your comments are welcome.

Armando Vargas.

I've deployed Access Runtime and the MSDE package.. it's not that
difficult

if I were you; I'd wait for this summer's release of Access Developer
tools; they will be free

using SQL 2000 at this point is basically impossible

I did hear that vista SP1 is going to add SQL 2000 compatability
though

The 2007 Developer Edition will be out by late June and it will be free.
The SQL Server Express 2005 is a also a free download.
