Scenario: Access 2007
15 users.
Front end (FE) unencrypted. All 15 users can use
BackEnd1 (BE1) unencrypted. All 15 users can use
BackEnd2 (BE2) encrypted. Only 3 of 15 users can use.
BE1 is on a public network drive anybody can access.
BE2 is on a network drive only 3 people have rights to.
Is it possible to link or delete the link BE2 when the Access
application is opened and closed?
Is the encyrption of a database and access to that data all or nothing?
I would feel comfortable by providing the links and removing the links.
One last question. If BE2 is encrypted, can it be opened using the
Opendatabase() method is 2007? The help file in 2007 is a bit limited
in its help and I'm wondering what the syntax would look like if I can.
