Access 2007 Error number 2950

In trying to open my contact manager database that I've been using for 5
months, the file will no longer open and the message returned says "The
object was saved in an invalid format and cannot be read". I can not open my
contact database and I don't know what happened. Has anyone experienced this
and do you have any suggestions?

I've seen it a time or two but have no idea what causes it. My fix has
always been to recover the file from a back up copy.

Thank you for the response. I figured that this might be the solution. I
have not maintained a back up. I know, that's pretty dumb and I will not
make that mistake again. But I'm using Windows XP and I'm wondering if the
operating system maintains a backup and where that might be located. I do
have a version out on Office Live but that is about 1 month old and I would
need to go through an entire month's worth of work to get it current.
