Environment:
Vista Business 32 bit Workstations
Windows Server 2008 Domain
Databases are stored on a shared folder on the server.
All users are in the same group that has full control of the folder the
databases are in.
2 of my users, while having the exact same privileges as the rest of the
group, are having an issue opening any database. When they open a database
either from a shortcut or through the Open dialog within Access, the program
hangs for about 2 minutes, it greys out and says "Not Responding" and then
eventually opens the database. To make this even more fun to
troubleshoot...it's intermittent. I'd say it happens 85% of the time.
Sometimes the database will load properly but then hang when Access is
closed. It eventually does what we want it to do but there is this weird
delay.
I thought this might have been a DNS problem here but I've checked all of
the logs on both the server and the clients and there are neither errors nor
warnings listed. Please help!
