Has anybody been having problems with using IE7 from within ACCESS 2007?
(I have Windows XP media center sp2. My Access is part of the Office 2007
Professional which those who attended the Office 2007 launch were allowed to
download with a permanent license.) For example, one problem I experience
systematicially is this: I click on the help button, a screen entitled
"Access Help and How-to" comes up. I enter a search term (like Round, for
example), click search and get a list of hits that look like
Round Function
Help > Macros and programmability > Functions (alphabetical)
I click on one of the results and all I ever get is
This page is unavailable

Click Refresh on the toolbar
Click Back on the toolbar, and then click the link to the page again
Show offline content from this computer.
None of which does anything, There is no problem with my internet connection,
And of course, there is no way to be certain if indeed if IE7 is actually
involved as I am guessing it is. (I have FIrefox installed but IE7 is my
default browser because some functions - like downloading updates - will not
work if IE7 is not the default browser .) One might think that the link as
presented to Access is faulty since if I copy and paste it into word, then
edit the link (so I can copy it again) and then paste it again into IE7, the
same error occurs. Except that if I take the same link copied from Word and
paste it into Firefox, the link works.
