Access 2007 Lack of Speed

Can anyone tell me how to speed this database up? I have approximately 300
users, using a front end with the back end on a shared server. I have
compacted the design, secured it and I've tried everything I know of to make
it simpler, but it is PAINFULLY SLOW!!! I don't remember previous versions
of Access ever beign thie slow. Thanks for your help.

However with 300 users, you might have reached the limits of Access. How
many concurrent users? If more than 25 are on at the same time, it might be
time to find another solution. Something like SQL Server as the BE with
Access as the FE. Then you could rewrite the queries as pass-thrus for much
better performance.

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't know if I have that option here, but
I'll check into it.
