Access 2007 Ribbon Disappeared

After having reviewed the Access Options, the Ribbon stopped showing up.
When I went back to check if I had accidentally entered a Ribbon name,
nothing showed in the "Ribbon Name" box. Now, when trying to run my
database, which has been working up until 11 a.m. (about the time of my
checking on the Options) the application doesn't open correctly, plus it says
that my "Link Manager" wizard is missing.

Any ideas what I have done and suggestions as to directions to look?

One of the things I forgot to state before was that the "Minimize Ribbon"
button was "greyed out," not selected. So that if anyone has this problem
(probably me in the near future), here is what I did to correct.
After "hunting and pecking," I did a "Microsoft Office Diagnostics," which
did find an undisclosed problem with Access. I still have no idea of why,
but at least it is restored the Ribbon. The program is still not responding
right, so, what ever I did to corrupt Access also corrupted my application.
