Access 2007 Runtime vs Program on same PC

I have a single notebook that I use everywhere.
It's running Vista and has Office 2007....

I have downloaded the Access 2007 Runtime & installed it.
How can I "test" an Access application (.ACCDB)
to see how it acts under the Runtime vs the actual Access 2007 program ?

I was thinking maybe the RT was listed in the Vista programs - but it is not,
or is listed with some weird naming...

SO - how do I invoke the RT vs Access 2007 when running (clicking) the ACCDB ?

I just read a blog that mentioned just to change the suffix
from the ACCDB (Access) to the ACCDR (runtime)

I did that - and it seems to work.... as the menu/nav bars are gone.
BUT - I also read some blogs that said installing the RT
on the same PC as the full product caused problems for running the full product
?

SO - will the ACCDR always use the RT program on the same PC vs the full product
?

Also, will installing the RT program cause harm, damage, or overlay the full
product
and create problems for us when using the full Access 2007 product ?

You don't need to have Runtime installed to see how an app will behave in
Runtime mode.

Specifically the sections:

Notes:
1) The lack of Ribbons, among other things, is by design. Its up to the
Developer to provide desired functionality.
2) There are 2 steps to opening an app in Access 2007 Runtime mode on a
machine with Access 2007 Retail installed. Changing extension to .accdr
*AND* adding /Runtime command line switch to the shortcut that opens the
app. (The Command line switch is all that was needed to open an app in
runtime mode in pre-2007 versions of Access.)

Generally, Runtime & Retail are the *exact* same set of files (although
probably installed to different locations). The file extension, command line
switch and existence of a registry key indicating a Full retail license are
what tell those files what "mode" they can/should be operating in. At least,
that's how most previous versions behaved. I'm assuming that hasn't changed
for 2007.
