According to the Microsoft web page linked to below you need of of the
following...

Microsoft Access 2000-2002;
Microsoft Office Access 2003;
Microsoft Works 6.0-10;
Microsoft Works Suite 2000-2006 or later;
any 2000-2007 Microsoft Office suite;
any Microsoft Office XP suite.

While Student/Teacher editions are not mentioned specifically, the second to
last seems to indicate that you qualify for an Access 2007 upgrade.

I think you mean "upgrade"....not update....

I don't think for any version of office there ever was and upgrade option
for the same edition of office, I think in your case if two choices

1) simply purchase the full version of access. It reasonably priced at $229

2) if you have office 2000, 2002, or 2003, then purchase the upgrade edition
and it is only $109.....

So keep in mind that three previous editions of office are an eligible
option for upgrade. So, if you have an older version of office around then
you can go the "upgrade" path and get access 2007 for about a $100.

Thank you, yes I ment the Access upgrade. I wanted to be sure that an
upgrade version of Access would essentially function just like a stand alone
version with my Office 2003 Student Teacher Edition. Thanks again.

Keep in mind that mixing Access 2007 with Office 2003 will work,
but it can be painful -- there is a slow (but transparent) re-install
every time you switch between 2003 and 2007, and you may have
trouble using Word 2003 at the same time as Access 2007.

If you need to use all of Office, consider upgrading the whole lot.

The slow re-install happens between Access 2003 and Access 2007.
Likely for all the other products as well. But is it a problem
between, say, Word 2003 and A2007? I don't know that answer.

I shouldn't think so. I've never had a problem using different
versions of Access with a different release of Word or Excel at the
same time.
