I created an Access 2000 app for a client who was running Windows 98.
A technician installed Windows 2000 over the existing installation
without reinstalling Office 2000. The user was unable to make any
changes to the Access app after that time (queries, forms, reports).
I uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000 and Service Pack 3, but the
user is still having the same problem. When you try to change
something, you get the error message "Save operation failed" and then
you can't click on anything (it dings) or close Access. Sometimes you
don't even get the error message, just the inability to click or
close.
Is there anything that can be done short of a clean install of Win 2K?
Is this a known problem? The database is not corrupted because
changes can be made from other machines running Windows 98.
