Access 2k - Win2k OS

I was running update queries on an indexed table with a
primary key. It was running a little slow so I pulled up
the task manager and saw that Access was only using about
10-20% of my systems resources. I had no other
applications running. Is that normal? Can I increase the
amount of resources that Access uses?

P4 3.0Ghtz
2+Gig Ram
