Access 95 - No workgroup file

I need a bit of help.....

I wrote a system for a small company close to 8 years ago in Access 95.
Locked the whole thing done with a workgroup file and left
administration rights to only certain users as well as myself.

I left the country for seven years and have arrived back. While I was
away the machine that had the application installed had a hard disk
failure.

The people that came in to recover the app which was backed up only
recovered the application files and not the workgroup file. This
worked fine as everyone that used it was using non-admin permissions.

The problem now is that they have just upgraded their few machines to
XP and the reports are now not working correctly. On top of this they
would like to make changes to the system and upgrade Access 95 to a
later version.

All of this would be acheivable except that the workgroup .mdw file is
nowhere to be found anymore.

So my question is.......Is there any workaround for this. Anyway to
break the file???? I have seen threads around I thought of people that
could do this?
