Access 97/2000 Export Report to Excel

Hi. I've converted an Access 97 db to Access 2000, making
no changes. The app is basically a reporting tool, so
contains many reports. Most contain some kind of
totalling in group/report footers. When exported to Excel
from Access 97, the group/report totals show up in Excel.
When the same report is exported from Access 2000, the
group/report totals disappear. Anyone know (a) why and
(b) whether this can be fixed?
