Access 97 and 2000 coexistance

Hello. I have a group of users that use a Access 97
database. I have just installed Office 2000 including
Access for them.

When the open the database they are asked if they would
like to convert the database or open it. They select
open, since it is a shared database,, and they should
since the developer of the database prefers 97.

My question is; is there a way to prevent them from being
presented with the convert/open dialog each time? What
are the best practices I should be aware of in a mixed
Access enviroment?

You should consider splitting the database, leaving the backend (tables) in
version 97. You could then convert the frontend to version 2000, which can
link fine to the 97 backend. Distribute the 2000 frontend to the users.

The developer can keep a 97 version of the frontend.
