Access 97 and Windows XP

This might be a dumb question but I have a few databases
that are useful to me and others that share the
information and that were created and maitained in Access
97. All users have Access97 withno need or desire to
upgrade. I replaced my computer with a newer model that
has Windows XP and Access 2002. I am not an Access
devotee but rather would now like to replace the Access
2002 with my prior Access 97 software. Will the Access
97 fuction properly with my computer that uses Windows XP
as the operationg sytem. Thanks

Yes, Access 97 will run just fine under Windows XP.

In fact, it will run just fine _along with_ later versions if installed in a
separate folder. If there's a message indicating that you don't have a
license when you try to install/run Access 97, see the article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=141373 in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base.

On this machine, I have Access 97, Access 2002, and Access 2003, all happily
co-existing; on another, I have Access 2.0, Access 97, and Access 2000.
