We have 4 users on a NT 4.0 network running Win98 and Access97 and have done
so for many years. I had to install a new system running WinXP Pro and am
trying to get the Access97 programs to work with it. Most of the forms will
open fine and you can do things but then all of a sudden, you get the
message, "Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience".
I can run this same database on another XP system and not get this error; I
have installed all the Windows updates; changed video driver to the version
the working XP system has, but same problem.
Any clues?
