I am working with one of our European offices on an Access 97 problem. The
consultant there customed designed an Access front end to a SQL DB. One of
his custom forms is an email form, which puts together an html attachment
from the information in the form, then calls outlook express (the default
email client) and automatically fills in the 'To:' field and attaches the
file.
We are moving his application to another server, and I moved his access
front-end and the sql db accordingly. However, on this server, Access 97
produces an error when the user clicks the 'submit' button for the email. It
creates the attachment, then comesup with error #2498 (it's in french, hard
to translate exact message). I can see the attachment, and I can right click
on it and select 'send', but then it comes up with a message translated
loosely as 'Access cannot open a session of email'.
I am not an access expert by any means, so any help would be appreciated.
