Access 97 conversion

I am using Access2002 and when I converted an ACCESS 97 MDB file - the new
file says it is in ACCESS 2000 format. Can someone please shed some light
on how this would have happened?

How do I get it to version 2002.

As you know, it is possible to create databases in Access 2000 and 2002 file
formats using Access 2002. For whatever reason, the default file format is
Access 2000. To change this so that your Access 2002 databases are in
Access 2002 file format, go to Tools|Options|Advanced and change the file
format there.
