Access 97 Date() Function problem

I have recently upgraded from Windows 95 to Windows 98.
Database applications developed in Access 97 under Win 95
now have problems when run using Access 97 under win 98.
In particular it no longer recognizes the "date()"
function when present in the "Default Value" property. I
am also getting an error when placing "99-99-00;0;_" in
the "Input Mask" property. Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.
