Access 97 Export to Excel 97

I have recently updated to Windows XP. I want to
Exchange files between Access 97 and Excel 97. Excel is
included in my Data Sources. I tried to re-install
Access just to be sure that Excel was enabled. It
appears as a greyed-out selection and says it will be
partially installed. ((???)). Excel does not appear in
my list of file types in Access. Can anyone tell me how
to fix this?

This may or may not work, but it's worth a shot.
You may have to re-register some dll files.
Do a search and get the [path] (on your computer) for the
following file: (it is usually in the Windows\System or
WINNT\System32 folder depending on your OS)

msexcl35.dll

once you find it re-register it. Click [Start] > Run...

regsvr32 C:\WINNT\System32\msexcl35.dll

FYI:
msxbse35.dll - DBase
mspdox35.dll - Paradox
mstext35.dll - Text, CSV & tab-delimeted files
