Hi,
Our application uses ACCESS 97, MDAC 2.5 or 2.6. It uses a
third party tool classys. This is using ODBC to access
access 97 database.
We are using Jet 4.0 dlls.
We have two environments. 1 USA and the other is French.
Due to recent virus attacks, our server adminstrators have
done some patches, updates on usa and french machines.
After these updates, while our application works fine on
USA machines, it is getting crashed on French Machines.
following error message is being displayed:
1. Visual.exe (our third party tool) has caused error.
windows will close the application.
(I have observed this is occuring when we do a select *
from table query on a table whose one column type is memo
type. After changing the memo type to text, it works fine)
is there any change due to these updates (823980 security
fix)
2. After querying the access through this tool around 18
times, it gets failed by giving message An exception
occurred -1073741819. An external database caused the
error.
