Access 97 in multi user mode.

I have clients with Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows XP. I have an Access
97 database on a fileshare on a Windows 2003 share. We have a system.mdw on
the share which everyone has joined. My database only works in single-user
mode.
I get an error message that a file is already in use. Would that be Windows
problem or an access problem?

All users must have full permissons to the folder where the MDB and the MDW
reside. Otherwise the automatic management of the locking files (LDB)
cannot be done.

Rick,
I have given them full permission. Maybe I have to do the old logout/login
trick.

Do all the users login with the same account?

Have you deselected 'exclusive access' in the permissions for that account
within the security settings for access?

Are you refering to MS Access security settings or Windows security settings.
My only problem is with Windows 98 and Access 97 sp1.
I just upgraded to sp2 and I will see if there is a difference.
Arne.
