Our IT department just upgraded 3 of our user Workstations to a different
Service Pack than used by everyone else. These 3 users now get the above
error message when they open up a Multi-user, Dynaset-type Recordset Form in
an Access 97 Database, which I designed, to edit/update records. The database
works fine for all of the other 100 or so users. Error 3197 states:"The
Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another
user are attempting to change the same data at the same time." They can open
the form but as soon as the try to select a record from a Combo-box field,
which uses a Table/query as its source, this error message pops up. There
are no record locks on this form nor the subject field. Is there a fix for
this problem that won't mess up access for all the other users?
Thanks,
Tim
