Access 97 not responding

I am unable to get into access 97 since Jan 1st. How do I 'roll it over to
the new year'?
Our database guy no longer works at our company and I can get in through the
back door to view the tables and the trees but I go to open it and it stops
responding. It was working fine before the new year and now it just locks up.
I am not a software guy and need help to get our access 97 operational again
ASAP.

That is such a vague question that I don't think anyone can truly answer with
certainty. Apparently there is something in your database that may be basing
the dates on 2007 (hard coded) or something like it and that is causing you
issues.

Without a whole lot more information it would be very difficult to say,
without actually seeing it, what is causing the problem.

You may need to get an Access developer in, under contract, to take care of
the problem if you don't have anyone knowledeable to help.
