Access 97 on Win XP Pro

After recently updating my workstation, I am having
problems with an Access 97 application.

My biggest problem is converting the mdb into a mde. EVERY
time I try I will receive an error that this could not be
done and that there was a compile error in a hidden module.

The modules are not hidden, they compile correctly.

This same mdb file will convert correctly on my old Win 2K
system.

i think i remember that as a bug going from one version of Jet to the
next..?

I had good luck running my a97 stuff on winXP.

I would make sure you have the same level of JET, and all the updates
installed for a97.

You need:

sr1
sr2b
jet35sp3.exe

You want to install all of the above updates. I would also try doing a save
and compile all in your mdb file on the winXP box to see if any errors
occur. You might have a damaged form, or module. I would also consider
trying a decompile also. However, first I would try the above updates.
