Access 97 Size and performance.

I have an access database that is about 46MB. I have it
stored on a server and for some reason, it has been
running very slowly since it reach the size of 40mb. Is
there some documentation that states what is an average
size for a database?

46 MB is still quite small for an Access database. Once you get into the
hundreds of MB, then you can call it large.

I have a client in Maryland that I have done 6 databases for, the largest is
20MB.

I have a different client in Dallas....their database is over 200MB.

46mb is not that big, unless you have a very limited number of objects and
records. But you have told us nothing about the database to help resolve
the performance issues.
