Here is my problem.
I am a NA for a company that uses an Acess 97 database and shares it to all
employees.
Recently, I was setting up a Dell Inspiron 2500, finishished installing
Office 97 (with all service packs) and created a short cut to the Shared
database.
Just to note: the OS is XP Pro (ugrd from Win2000), but I believe only
Office 97 has been istalled on it prior.
When I opened the database, the switchboard should have autoexecuted,
displaying about 8 buttons, all labeled to the side. Instead, only the
first button appeared and nothing else. When I clicked on the button, I get
the message "error executing command".
Here's what I have done so far.
Bypassed the Switchboard upon opening, I could see all the tables, forms,
etc.
Verified this was the only computer on the network haveing this or any
problems opening the database.
Uninstall/reinstall
Verified shaerd permissions were correct
Unistall XP service pack 2
disabled Firewall
disabled antivirus
Any suggestions?
