Access 97 to 2000

A database was created in 97 and coverted to 2000 (by
accident) now the data base does not open in either 97 or
2000. With following error message: "MicroSoft Access
can't find the database.. <file path and name>" The
database does open on the creators machine.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the database you're opening is linked to a
back end database. The directory structure of this back
end database is not mapped the same way on your PC as it
is on the creator's.

In Access '97, go to Tools -- Database Utilities -- Linked
table manager to see the directory structure of the linked
tables. Then you'll need to set up a similar structure on
your PC and to find the linked database.
