Access 97 to Access 2002

Praveen

Hi,
I have a database prepared in Access 97 now i want to
upgrade to Windows XP and Access 2002. Direct
modifications to the database would be done using Access
2002 directly. Does this upgrading to Access 2002 will
pose any problem in the working of my application(which
uses Jet engine and ODBC)?
Please mail me at (e-mail address removed). Thanks in
advance.
Cheers
Praveen

Hi,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

You should be able to successfully convert your 97 database to 2002.
Before doing so, make sure that all code compiles and saves without error,
as during the conversion process, your code is compiled and if any compile
errors are encountered, this might halt the conversion. One way to get
around this issue is instead of converting the database, create a new blank
2002 database and import the objects from the 97 database into the 2002
database. This is basically the same as copying and pasting the objects
from one database into another, and the code will not be compiled.

I included links to articles for more information about conversion below:
