Access 97 upgrading to Access 2000

My access 97 database will not let me upgrade to 2000. Can
you program a access 97 database not to be upgraded???
where in the design view can this be changed????

I've had similar problems. What I did was to create a
new, blank database in 2000 and import everything from the
97 database.

Please clarify "..will not let me..."

Is the conversion option not available? Are you getting an error message? What
procedure are you using?

Access Security can be used to restrict who would have authority to convert a file.
Does your 97 file have User-Level security implemented?
