Access 97--WinXP pro

Can I install Access 97 on Windows XP pro?
Background: Data vendor will no longer support Win 98 and
wish to upgrade to xp pro in anticipation of future
program software upgrade. Past experience in trying
access2000 (office2000) was disaster. Appreciate any
advice. Art

Access 97 It works just fine on xp.

.. There is a common install bug that crops up about "no license"..but there
is free download/fix for that problem.

In fact, if you want, you can install a 11 year old version of access 1.0 if
you want. So, that famous policy of Microsoft letting you run software as
long as you like lives on strong to day. (so, you can install that old
windows 3.1 version if you want!).

Albert: The download in http://support.microsoft.com/?id=191224 only fixes
the problem for Win98.

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=141373 describes the fix for all OS,
though.
