access 97 wont open

i have access as part of my office 97 pro worked ok on winME but since i
upgraded to XP cant get access to open the other components work fine
(word, excel, powerpoint) i have reinstalled several times with the same
results.

Works ok in general. Do you have Admin permissions?
What about if you use an empty copy of MSAccess.srg?

Yes I do have admin priveleges. I will have to try the .srg
