We have several users that are being upgraded to Windows
XP with Access 2002.
The problem is that a user had setup Workgroup security
(from his WinNT laptop, the system.mdw file is also on
the network drive))on a database that's on a network
drive and he was given a new laptop with XP and Access
2002. He tried to open the database from the new laptop
and received an error that he did not have appropriate
privledges. I tried pointing him to the system.mdw file
on the lan drive but that did not help.
I was able to at least get rid of the prompt for the User
Name and Password but he and a few other users that were
added to the Security Workgroup can't open this and other
Access Databases.
Is there anyway to remove the security rights on the
databses so both the NT ans XP users can open \modify
Access databases?
