Access 97 Working Directory

I'm having a wierd problem when someone tries to open my
MS Access database on one specific machine. When you
launch the .mdb, the following message appears:

"Could not change the working directory to '??#' Verify
that the driectory exists and the path name is less than
260 characters long."

On the message, the # is actually a box, as though it were
trying to display a non-printable character.

Thing is, the database APPEARS to open fine when you OK
that message. However, the guy that's using it seems to
get a lot of wierd, fluke-type errors that don't happen
anywhere else. I have to think that the two are related,
but I've never seen that error before so I don't know.

Any ideas?

If this user opens the database via a desktop shortcut, check the properties
of the shortcut (start in property).

However, it more likely is a setting in his installation of Access. Open
Access, and go to Tools, Options, General tab. The default database folder
is the entry that may be amiss.
