access 97

When trying to open a table in Access 97, I received the following error
message:
"Microsoft Access can't load the 'h' format. The setting for this format in
the windows registry is incorrect. you can't save the output data to a file
in this format until you correct the setting in the registry. "
I am using XP Pro SP1. Can you tell me what I have to do to correct this?

I'm not sure if I can help you on this one but XP has a
few problems with access 97. We have a few pcs still
running win9x and access 97 and everything works but,
somtimes, when we try to copy/open a dbase on xp and
access 2003 it give us some problems. I don't think M$
make access 97 compatible with XP.
