Access acdb's are constantly crashing!!

Eric

we recently migrated all our access 2003 based application to access 2007 and
we discovered that alot of our applications are crashing!! we also notice
that the system for some reason is making a backup file of the accdb's that
crashed. We have never experienced something like this before, I would like
to know if someone else has experienced this problem, I must say this problem
is almost occuring every single day. It is really a nightmare for our users
and our administrators.

Any suggestions or help is most appreciated - thanks.

I've been using Access since version 1.0 came out (?!14-15 years ago!). It
takes less than one hand to count the times Access (all versions, including
2007) has "crashed".

If you'll provide more specific description about your configuration and
situation, folks here might be able to offer more specific suggestions.

Is Office 2007 SP1 installed?

Congratulations Jeff,

I am using Access since version 1.0 too and developed a project with about
180 tables (on a MS-SQL Server), 800 queries, 375 Forms, 200 reports and
about 60.000 lines of code.

But I think the project is too large for an Access mdb, ( I am currently
stuck with Office XP ) because I have about 2 -10 crashes A DAY during
development and strange behaviours, even if I do a decompile/compact cyclus
every day and install every office patch with wsus on our systems.

Do you have a direct connection to the great mystery god of office system
which protects you against crashes?? I am sending a prayer to every day, but
it doesnt help....

Cheers

Klaus

Ouch. I wonder if A2003 would be slightly more stable. But I have no
idea if it would be.

I would say there is something corrupted in your Access installation
if you're experiencing these kinds of problems.

Do you have COMPILE ON DEMAND turned off, BTW?
