Access acting very strange

Windows XP workstation SP 1 Running Office 2000 SR1 SP3
Access is giving me total problems. Won't open reports in
established data bases. By the way these databases work
on all other workstations in my company. The problem ones
are Dell Optiplex 270's. Anyway, access errors out and
report AppVer 9.0.0.6620 Mod Name ole32.dll. Sometimes
it opens reports, sometimes it closes out of the program
all together. Sometimes when choosing the report it says
report name is misspelled or doesn't exist. Then I close
out and start with that report and it opens fine but the
previously open report now reports that same error
message. HELP!!!

Similar thing happens to random users on some of our
GX270 systems (also with XP Pro & Office 2k).
Some people just can't open any type of database, altho
another user on the same system can. There are no errors
on the Event Logs, and Task Manager reports that Access
is still running normally.

I was just experiencing a similar puzzling problem. A
database created on one pc was then transferred to a
laptop. The database was copied back to the orginal pc
where upon none of the tables could be opened. The design
view couldn't be saved without Access 2K crashing. Same
wth queries, reports, forms, etc..

I finally found a solution from MS - turns out that Jet
4.0 wasn't registered properly. Ran the following:

regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\msjtes40.dll

and now everything works perfectly. Maybe it'll work for
you as well.
