Access and small characters

I'm Having some trouble with small characters.

Problem 1:
I can't get Access 2k3 to print below 8.

Problem2:
Some reports are easier to setup if a graphic is imported from Excel.

I arrange things so that the Excel layout fits the report width
(avoiding scaling) and do a copy+paste. Still, if Excel contains
characters below 8 they are not printed. Using 8, I selected Arial
Narrow to get more characters per line. For some reason, some
characters are printed 'away' from others, some other characters
almost overlap. The original Excel layout is perfect, but, after
importing, small characters in Access report become lousy.
