Access Assigned Names

I have set up a Access database. We have assigned certain
customers to different people in the office. We have
built reports to show the open receivables by each
person. When we run the reports we get information for
all of the people with bills assigned except one. When we
type in this name we get a error message; "This expression
is typed incorrectly or it is too complex to be
evaluated. For example, a numberic expression may contain
too many complicated elements. Try simplifying the
expression by assigning parts of the expression
variables." When I type a name that has not been assigned
to a customer, I get a blank report with error in the name
field. The reports work for every other customer with an
assigned name. The person assigned to these customers
does do input, etc for their customer, could they have
done something to cause this error?

Thank you

Dana, no-one could even begin to answer this question unless you gave a lot
more information about the structure of your database, and how the programs
have been written.

It's a bit like me asking on a world-wide forum: "My car doesn't work! What
is the problem?"

Your best bet is probably to get a local Access person in, to check it out
for you.

Any chance the offending name has "odd" characters in it? Example: "O'Brien"
can cause problems sometimes because of the apostrophe.
