Access Automation question

I'm pretty new to this......i'd apreciate any help a .net guru can give me
on this....

Basicaly, within Access 2000, the following process is carried out on a
database......
Tools-Database Utilities-Convert Database-To Prior Version
Followed by save, close etc.

So, as there are number of databases to be processed in this labour
intensive manner, I would like, in VB.NET, to use Automation of an
Acceess2000 object to perform the same task, file by file, as a batch
process.

Could anyone advise the methods in Automation to enable me to do this...or
indeed if it is even posssible.
