Thanks for you help in advance!!!
I'm wanting to use Access to receive status reports on projects via a
FrontPage form. Then take the data and dump them into 2 different Excel
workbook templates.
I've been wracking my brain on this for a few days now.
Currently I'm usuing a InfoPath form to gather the data for "certain"
projects and then getting updates via a copy of a master project list (Excel)
then compiling them all together, in 2 different Excel workbooks. The
InfoPath updates are more indepth and actually get reported on a different
Excel report.
So I'm wanting to streamline this process a bit. I'm looking at creating a
shared folder locally that users can access and make updates on 1 form via
something created from FrontPage, which in turn would push to a Access db in
a different folder, not shared, locally.
The form would allow the following:
1) Validation against the DB
2) Allow users to add new project status and update current status.
The db will let me generate the current Excel reports or dump them into a
Excel template with conditional formatting.
Can I do this? I get the impression I can but it'll be some work.
I'm trying to do some .ASP testing with some local users but running into to
some IIS Server issues and I'm trying to run this from a desktop. WINXP PRO -
