Access Bible by???

A while ago I asked what the best book for Access was, and
someone told me the "Access Bible" and who it was
by...well, I lost the paper I wrote the author on.
Does anyone know? Or maybe have a better suggestion?

There are several I find usefull. If your just getting
started with Access I would go to a book like Using Access
xx (where xx is thew access version). These are published
by Que. The author of the version I have is Jennings. This
one is pretty basic and is good for someone just getting
started. It discusses access as well as general relational
database design concepts.

The other one I use a lot now is the Access Developers
Handbook. I do not remember the author or publisher, but
you should find it on Amazon.com. I purchased this book in
comination with a similar book for VBA development. What I
purchased was the Access Developers Kit. Again they have
one for each version of Access.

There are several good books; _The Access Bible_ by Cary Prague and
Mike Irwin (John Wiley & Sons) is one, I also like _Running Microsoft
Access_ by John Viescas (Microsoft Press) and _Using Microsoft Access_
by Roger Jennings (Que Press). There are other good books too;
learning styles differ! If you have the chance to get to a good
bookstore, you might pull these three and two or three more off the
shelf and browse through them - pay particular attention to the index.

For *advanced* development - it is by NO MEANS a tutorial or a
beginner's book! - you can't do better than the _Microsoft Access
Developer's Handbook_ by Getz, Litwin and Gilbert (Sybex). Two
volumes, 3000 pages plus, $$$, but worth every penny and more.
