Access command buttons not working on one computer

I use command buttons to make selections in an Access 2002 application.
The application installs and works fine on several computers (running
XP pro, XP home, Win 98 and Win ME). However, on a Toshiba P25
(running XP) it installs fine and the main menu appears but the command
buttons on the main menu do not do anything when you click on them.
They depress but that is all.

I suspect there is a problem/conflict with a dll. The only thing that
I am aware of that is unique about the Toshiba is that it has Microsoft
Works installed on it. Any suggestions?
