Access Crashes - New Info

This is a follow up Posting to the Access Crashes post a
few messages down.

I recovered my backup from a few days ago - from before
any problems. Other linked tables in the backup have the
same problems.

I deleted all links but the three that cause crashes. I
can open these linked tables, view them, edit the
information in them - they work fine. I just can not
delete the link. I refreshed them with the link manager
and got the confirmation message that all went well.

I even created a new duplicate link to one of these
tables and it can not be deleted either. These remaining
tables that are causing crashes were placed in the
Backend file via the database splitter.

Thanks again for any ideas on how to purge these links.

Have we tried creating a new FE, importing all objects from the old FE, and
then using File>>GetExternal Data>>Link tables?

Kevin,

Again, thanks for suggesting the obvious... I had not
even considered this. I have created a new FE and
imported all as well as created a new BE and imported all
to that. Haven't seen any problems yet.... Hope!

Thanks.
