I have an application that has been converted many times from Access V2 to
2007. One form is used to review customers. If the reviewer wants to make
comments about the customer, s/he clicks a Comments button. A form pops up
that has a memo field for entering comments. When done, they click another
button to close the form and return to the main review screen.
Since the program has been converted to 2007, the program randomly crashes
when doing input in this form. The form has three fields that display the
customer's account number, name and location. They are all locked fields.
The only active field is the memo input box. The application is being used
in many locations in several states, and everyone has experienced these
random crashes, including myself. I added a "save comments" button to the
form so they can periodically save what they've done. That way, when it
crashes, they won't lose everything. I write my comments in Word, then copy
them into the form.
Any ideas? I will be rolling this application out to some folks soon who
can crash just about anything, and I do not want to give it to them if there
is a possible solution for this problem. I have talked to other people who
have experienced similar issues with other applications they have created.
Thanks for any ideas you may have.
